KUYA KIM ATIENZA – The Kapuso TV host left a comment on the public apology of actress-vlogger Alex Gonzaga.
The 35-year-old actress has come under fire for smearing cake on a waiter’s face. It happened during the vlogger’s birthday-salubong.
Many people have already expressed their opinions on the issue. Among those who have been critical of Toni Gonzaga’s sister are well-known figures such as motivational speaker Rendon Labador and veteran journalist Arnold Clavio.
On Wednesday night, January 18, 2023, the celebrity vlogger took to her social media pages wherein she apologized publicly. In a statement, she stated that God taught her a difficult and important lesson on her special day. She then apologized to the waiter and her parents, saying she would “rise from this a wiser and better person”.
Among those who reacted on her apology is no less than former Kapamilya weather anchor, Kuya Kim Atienza. In the comment section, he wrote: “Happy birthday dearest Cathy. Hugs.”
Meanwhile, prior to Alex issuing an apology on social media, ABS-CBN News posted a statement from the waiter in the viral video. The server, identified as Allan Crisostomo, disclosed that on January 17, the actress came to him at work to apologize.
Before this, the camp of Alex Gonzaga has commented on the popular video. According to Peter Ledesma, the Gonzaga family’s publicist, Allan works as a waiter for a catering company that the family frequently tap for special occasions and family gatherings.
