Alex Gonzaga: “I am truly sorry, Kuya Allan.”
ALEX GONZAGA – The actress-host recently issued a public apology after she went viral for smearing cake icing on the waiter’s face.
The viral incident started when Dani Barretto posted a video where the actress-host can be seen smearing cake icing on the waiter’s face. Several netizens were able to obtain the said video and repost it on social media platforms even after Dani’s post on Instagram Stories expired.
On Wednesday night, the celebrity vlogger issued a public apology on her social media pages. She said in a statement that God taught her a hard and important lesson on her special day.
She went on to apologize to the waiter and to her parents, saying that she will “rise from this a wiser and better person”.

Prior to this, ABS-CBN News released a statement from the waiter in the viral video.

Identified as Allan Crisostomo, he revealed that the actress went to his work last January 17 to apologize for what she had done to him.
“Last January 17, 2023 around 6:30 PM nasa work po ako. Pumunta po si Ma’am Alex kung saan po ako nagwowork,” Allan said in a statement. “Then nag apologize and nagsorry siya saken tapos konting kwentuhan at sinabi ko po sa kanya na ok na po yung nangyari. Ok na po kami.”
Meanwhile, Mikee Morada has spoken up as his wife continued to receive backlash from her bashers.
In a statement posted on his Facebook page, Mikee said that a lot has been said about Alex because of what happened during her birthday celebration. He also said that there are many reasons he can say why she did that, but there’s no excuse for her mistake.
According to him, his wife recognized her mistakes and decided to apologize to Allan. However, he said that there was still something to say to her even when she apologized to the waiter.
Mikee also said that it’s embarrassing for Allan’s employer who allegedly forced him to release a statement because those who want to escalate the issue don’t want to stop them. He went on to tell his wife that she did what she had to do and she also accepted her mistake.
“Patuloy man ang mga masasabing hindi maganda patungkol sa iyo at sa atin ay nandito ako para sa iyo,” he told his wife. “Pero may awa Ang Panginoon, dadating ang oras maghihilom din ang lahat.”
