Pinay Hero Nurse Lorrainne Pingol Reunites w/ Woman She Helped Give Birth After 2 Years
The Pinay hero nurse named Mary Lorrainne Pingol reunited with the woman she helped to give birth way back in 2020.
The pandemic hero nurse goes viral for helping a homeless lady named Jeremy Rausa to give birth in Osmeña Avenue, Brgy. Bangkal, Makati City. The woman successfully gives birth to her child with the help of a kind-hearted health worker.
Nurse Lorraine is already late for work when the barangay rescue team asked her to help the pregnant woman to deliver her baby. She immediately responds and helps the woman to give birth.
Pingol told her supervisor that she could not report to work yet because she is in remission due to leukemia. The health worker revealed that a lot of people helped her when was diagnosed with leukemia in 2013, which becomes her reason to help those who are in need.
The lady nurse also received cash rewards from the veteran radio broadcaster Raffy Tulfo because of her heroic act.
Last August 19, 2022, the viral nurse gets reunited with Rausa near the site wherein the woman gives birth two years ago. The two got reunited a day after the baby girl’s second birthday. The reunion happened with the help of Rausa’s first partner’s sister.
“Noong nagkita kami after 2 years, masaya po ako na nakakuwentuhan ko siya nang kaunti—kumusta ka, kumusta na ang anak mo. Sabi niya malusog naman ang bata, mataba, so at least I’m happy to know na okay ang bata,” Pingol said.
The Pinay health worker also bought a cake to celebrate the birthday of Rausa’s daughter. She usually visits the area every August 18, which is the child’s birthday.
“Once a year dumadaan ako rito, specifically August 18 kasi ‘yon ang birthday ng bata, dumadaan ako. Gusto ko lang silang kumustahin, ano na ba ang nangyari sa kanila pagkatapos ng insidente, ‘yon lang po. Siyempre after mong tulungan, curious ako, kumusta na ba sila,” the nurse said.
