JESUS CRISPIN REMULLA – The Department of Justice Secretary earned over P7 million, establishing him as the highest-earning Cabinet official of President Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos, Jr. in 2023.

This information is based on the 2023 Report on Salaries and Allowances (ROSA), which was released by the Commission on Audit (COA).

Overall, Remulla received a salary of P7,075,742.00. Following him was the Special Assistant to the President Antonio Lagdameo, Jr., who earned P6,984,948.77. Next came the Department of Science and Technology Secretary Renato Solidum Jr., with a salary of P6,035,566.70.

The fourth highest earner was the Department of Public Works and Highways Secretary Manuel Bonoan, who made P5,091,453.17. He was followed by Presidential Assistant 2 Leo Magno, who earned P4,960,634.83.

Other Cabinet members closely followed in terms of salary. The Department of Labor and Employment Secretary Bienvenido Laguesma earned P4,936,378.81, while the Department of Energy Secretary Raphael Lotilla received P4,758,892.22. The Department of Information and Communications Technology Secretary Ivan Uy had earnings of P4,750,640.41. The Department of Foreign Affairs Secretary Enrique Manalo took home P4,713,384.08, and the Department of Social Welfare and Development Secretary Rex Gatchalian earned P4,681,478.00.
