However, two sources close to him provide updates to PEP.ph, stating that he is actually at home and in good condition, contrary to the speculations circulating on social media. Despite the lack of official statements or medical bulletins from Escudero’s office, these sources reassured that he is resting well and doing fine.
The speculations arose on April 5, 2024, with unconfirmed reports circulating on social media claiming that Escudero suffered a stroke, heart attack, or aneurysm. These rumors were further fueled by reports that his wife, Heart Evangelista, had to cancel her engagements in Hong Kong due to the alleged incident.
While the sources did not directly confirm Escudero’s stroke, one of them mentioned that he was “airlifted” from Sorsogon to St. Luke’s Medical Center – BGC, although it was not explicitly stated whether it was due to a medical emergency. The sources clarified that Escudero was airlifted for faster transportation, rather than enduring a six-hour road trip.
