Here’s the alleged reaction of Donny Pangilinan to the “sapawan” issue with Maris Racal and Anthony Jennings.
DONNY PANGILINAN – The “Can’t Buy Me Love” star allegedly reacted to the issue where Maris Racal and Anthony Jennings supposedly overshadowed his pairing with Belle Mariano.
In the February 15 episode of Marites University, hosts Jun Nardo, Rose Garcia, and Ambet Nabus discussed this matter. To recall, the “sapawan issue” started after Anthony and Maris received praise for their scenes in the said teleserye, which is led by Donny and Belle.
According to reports, the two are enjoyable when they start exchanging lines with each other. Each delivery is very natural. And according to Ambet, even if Maris is not in the scene, Anthony still shines. So it’s not surprising that soon, when “Can’t Buy Me Love” ends, Maris and Anthony will be given a project where they will be the leads.
“Pero ang naging reaksyon na nga lang ni Donny, wala. natawa lang siya. Kasi parang ano pa nga ba ang iko-comment niya? E, ganoon talaga ang eksena sa mga ganoon,” said Ambet. He added: “Kaya mga Donato fans dyan, relaks lang. Chill.” It is worth noting that Anthony had also spoken about the issue in a previous interview.
Meanwhile, Donny Pangilinan, whose real name is Donato Antonio Laxa Pangilinan, is an actor, model, singer, host, and VJ. He is the son of actress Maricel Laxa and motivational speaker Anthony Pangilinan. Donny Pangilinan began his career in the entertainment industry in 2016 as a VJ for Myx, a Philippine pay TV channel. He made his film debut in 2018 in the Regal Films production “Walwal.”
Pangilinan gained recognition for his roles in various Star Cinema productions, including “James & Pat & Dave” (2020) and “He’s Into Her” (2021). He has also made guest appearances on several ABS-CBN shows and briefly hosted the program ASAP.
Apart from his acting career, Donny Pangilinan has pursued endeavors in music, collaborating on soundtracks and releasing solo singles. He has worked with Universal Records Philippines on his musical projects.
