Edgar Allan Guzman and Shaira Diaz are already engaged
EDGAR ALLAN GUZMAN and SHAIRA DIAZ – The Kapuso stars revealed that they have been engaged since December 2021.
The couple who will be celebrating their 11th year of togetherness revealed to the public on February 16, that they got engaged on December 25, 2021. The couple shared this significant event on “Unang Hirit,” GMA-7’s morning program, of which Shaira is a part. EA, who was promoting his new project on the Kapuso network, “Lilet Matias, Attorney-at-Law,” which will premiere on March 4, 2024, emotionally announced their engagement.
He expressed his respect for Shaira and shared that he was willing to wait for her, understanding her time and goals. Shaira explained that now felt like the right time to publicly acknowledge their engagement as she feels ready to start a family in the future with EA.
In previous interviews, they kept their engagement hidden. However, in a recent interview with PEP.ph on November 21, 2023, Shaira mentioned that they were discussing marriage but were not yet engaged.
They wanted to save up, and Shaira wanted to finish her studies first. This was also mentioned in an interview during the mediacon of the film “Without You” in February 2023. Despite being ready for a proposal, as she stated in previous interviews, Shaira emphasized the importance of her conditions, such as graduating and acquiring certain things for herself and her family.
In an exclusive interview with PEP.ph in September 2022, Shaira had outright said she would say “no” if EA proposed at that time. She expressed her desire to accomplish personal goals before committing to marriage.
EA and Shaira admitted their relationship to the public despite keeping it secret for a long time. EA confessed in 2019, explaining that it was time to reveal their relationship as he had hidden it for a while and felt proud of Shaira’s achievements. They also kept their relationship hidden for the sake of their careers.
