Larry Gadon Says PBBM is “Adik sa pagmamahal sa bayan, adik sa pagtrabaho”

Larry Gadon agrees that PBBM is an “adik” but not in the manner Duterte is accusing him

LARRY GADON – The Presidential Adviser on Poverty Alleviation acknowledged that President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. is an “addict,” but not in the manner that former President Rodrigo Duterte is accusing him.

During an interview, Gadon, a close ally of Marcos, stated that the head of state was devoted to serving the people. “Si Presidente Bong Bong Marcos ay isang adik… adik sa pagmamahal sa bayan, adik sa pagtrabaho, at adik sa pag-asikaso ng mga tungkulin ng pamahalaan, adik sa pagmamahal sa mga Pilipino,” he remarked.

In a more serious tone, the disbarred lawyer urged Duterte to refrain from involving the nation in his issues with Marcos. Gadon also voiced his endorsement of constitutional change. “Panahon na ng tunay na pagbabago tungo sa pagunlad! Ang Cha Cha ay hindi layunin na palawigin ang termino ng presidente o ng sinoman na opisyales, ito ay panlilito at paninira lamang,” he emphasized.

The Dutertes and Marcoses are currently making rounds online due to the remarks they have been throwing at each other. This was after former President Rodrigo Duterte lashed out at PBBM during a prayer rally, calling the latter a “drug addict.”

But PBBM refuted the claims of Duterte, saying that his remarks might be an effect of his medication. The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency also denied that the name of the president is on their “watchlist.”

Aside from the elder Duterte, Davao City Mayor Sebastian “Baste” Duterte also criticized PBBM by calling for his resignation. According to him, Marcos Jr. should “resign” if he lacks love and aspirations for the nation.

Meanwhile, Lorenzo “Larry” Gacilo Gadon is a lawyer and former senatorial candidate. He gained social media attention for his use of vulgar language and strong stance against liberals and communists. Despite running for a senatorial seat in 2016, 2019, and 2022 elections, he was unsuccessful each time.

Gadon is a supporter of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. Throughout his career, Gadon has been involved in various controversies, including disbarment cases for inappropriate behavior during a protest, a suspension for offensive language, and disregarding COVID-19 safety protocols.
