KATRINA HALILI – The actress expressed sadness over the passing of her non-showbiz boyfriend.
Katrina Halili is an actress and commercial model of Chinese descent. She gained fame through the reality talent competition StarStruck in 2003 and is known for her antagonist roles in hit TV series like Majika, Marimar, and Darna. Dubbed “GMA’s Primera Kontrabida,” she received critical acclaim for Magdusa Ka (2008) and earned nominations at international awards.
Halili has been named the “Sexiest Woman in the Philippines” by FHM twice (2006, 2007). Despite a controversy in 2009, she continued her successful career, portraying both villainous and heroic characters. In recent years, she showcased her versatility in roles like Destiny Rose (2015), Sa Piling ni Nanay (2016), and The Stepdaughters (2018). She became a mother in 2012, giving birth to her daughter Katrence Lawrence Halili Cadevida.
The actress took to the social media platform Instagram, where she shared that her boyfriend had passed away. In a post, she noted: “Ang daya mo love sabi mo aalagaan mo kami ni Katie (emoji) bakit iniwan mo kami.”
She also posted a photo with her boyfriend on her IG Story. Her post was flooded with condolences from her colleagues in showbiz. Among those who expressed their condolences are Carla Abellana, Aiko Melendez, Jackielou Blanco, Camille Prats, Kris Bernal, and others. Some netizens claimed in the comment section that her boyfriend’s name is Jeremy.
To recall, Katrina first shared about her boyfriend in an interview with Boy Abunda. According to her, her boyfriend helped her take care of her child, Katie, her daughter from her previous relationship with Kris Lawrence.
As of press time, Katrina has yet to issue a statement regarding the death of her non-showbiz boyfriend. She has also yet to provide any details regarding the burial of her boyfriend.
