DEREK RAMSAY – The “Kampon” actor said that he and his wife, actress Ellen Adarna, hope to get pregnant in 2024.
The actor said in an interview with PUSH during the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) Parade of Stars event that he and his wife are leaving in February for their anniversary trip to Antarctica and “create an ice baby” there.
“We’re really looking forward to this trip and maybe it’s a blessing na rin, because we have these trips and that happened,” Derek Ramsay said. “We’ll be in Antartica, just the two of us. So maybe we’ll produce an ice, ice baby.”

DEREK RAMSAY – Here’s the reason why the “Kampon” actor shared that he’s semi-retiring from show business.
The actor is set to star in the upcoming movie titled “Kampon” – one of the official film entries for this year’s MMFF (Metro Manila Film Festival).
Derek appeared in the latest episode of “Toni Talks” on Toni Gonzaga’s YouTube channel where he talked about his showbiz career and his family life.
In an interview with Toni Gonzaga, Derek said that he’s semi-retiring from showbiz because he’s getting more picky with the projects he works on. He also noted that he doesn’t want to be away from his family.
“Like, I will do a movie if it’s really… but I’m really picky now with what I do. Like TV, definitely, I wouldn’t do it. I can’t be away from my family,” the actor said. “I’ve said that since nung panahon natin. Kapag nagpakasal ako, goodbye na showbiz.”
The actor admitted that there were doubts about settling down in his past relationships, but with Ellen, “when you know, you know” prevailed. According to him, his conversion to his wife not wanting to get married made him realize that he actually wanted to.
Derek also revealed that he asked permission from his own son from a previous relationship, and his parents to marry Ellen despite dating her for a very short time.
He went on to give advice to young men who are considering settling down at an early age, considering that he married Ellen at the age of 40 and is happy. According to him, guys should finish what they want to do first and they also need to make sure their life have a direction so they can enjoy marriage.
It can be recalled that the actor revealed during a media conference for his upcoming horror film “Kampon” that his wife suffered a miscarriage. At that time, he said that it’s their first attempt for them to make a baby and they will try again “next year”.
