IZA CALZADO – The actress recently shared the reason why she chose “Shake, Rattle, and Roll Extreme” as her comeback project.

The actress is one of the stars in the upcoming horror movie “Shake, Rattle, and Roll Extreme” where she will play the role of a mother who is willing to sacrifice her life to fight a malevolent entity threatening her family.

At a media conference for the upcoming movie, Iza said that “Shake, Rattle, and Roll” is a “strong franchise” and it’s not the first time that she starred in a horror movie franchise, It can be recalled that she has previously appeared in “Yaya” episode of SRR 8 in 2006.

Iza also said that it’s a big deal for her that she’s only required to shoot for 6 days. According to the actress, it’s also a way for her to gauge if she can do a television series.

‘Yung six days ka lang na kailangan, e, tinitimbang ko talaga ro’n kung ano ang kaya kong gawin ngayon na nanay na ako. Hindi mahirap um-oo sa six days,” she said. “It’s also a way for me to gauge kung kakayanin ko bang mag-teleserye.

The celebrity mom shared that she did it for herself as an artist because she also want to be busy, but not to the point that she can compromise that she will be away from her daughter for a long time. She even described it as “parang it was a good compromise”.

Compared to making a TV series, Iza said that she’s better able to make a movie at the moment because she thinks about her daughter. She added that she has to be intentional with what she says ‘yes’ to and the things she says ‘no’ to are also very important as well.

She went on to express her gratitude to Regal Films for the opportunity, saying that she’s glad she said ‘yes’ to “Shake, Rattle, and Roll Extreme”.

“Shake, Rattle, and Roll Extreme” will be showing in cinemas on November 29, 2023.
