Maxene Magalona Shares How She Celebrates Francis Magalona’s Birthday

Maxene Magalona: “I decided to go out and take him on a date to one of his favorite places”

MAXENE MAGALONA – The actress shared how she celebrated what would have been the 59th birthday of her late father, OPM rapper Francis Magalona.

OPM rapper Francis “Kiko” Magalona passed away in 2009 due to leukemia. Among his hit songs include “Ito ang Gusto Ko”, “Mga Kababayan”, “Kaleidoscope World”, and “Bagsakan” with Chito Miranda and Gloc-9.

The content creator posted a video on her Instagram account on Wednesday where she shared how she celebrated her father’s birthday.

The video started when Maxene said that the light went out in one of the rooms of her place and that means her father’s spirit is in that place. She also said that she decided to go out and take her father on a “date” to one of his favorite places.

According to her, she took a Grab ride and even told the driver about her father’s birthday.

Every year, on his birthday, I make sure to listen to his music so that I could hear his messages. Sometimes I cry when ‘Kaleidoscope World’ comes on,” the actress said.

Maxene went on to share that Greenshils was one of her father’s favorite places to hang out and the place even has a mural of her father. She also shared that her father used to love bringing her in Shoppesville, specifically in Chocfull of Nuts because her father’s favorite food there is Asado Siopao.

After that, Maxene shared that she went to one of her father’s favorite Chinese restaurants because he used to bring her there as well. She ended the video by sharing a birthday message for her late father on his birthday.

Happy, happy birthday, Papa! I love you, I miss you, and I wish you’re happy wherever you are. I’ll see you when I see you,” she said.

Prior to this, Maxene posted a video of herself on her Instagram account where she can be seen vibing to her father’s song “3 Stars & A Sun”. Aside from this, she shared the life lessons that she learned from him.
