Ivana Alawi goes to Thailand

IVANA ALAWI – The Kapamilya star shared her recent experiences in Bangkok, Thailand in her latest vlog.

Ivana Alawi, whose real name is Mariam Sayed Sameer Marbella Al-Alawi, is a prominent Filipino actress, model, and YouTuber. She’s not only a well-known figure in the entertainment industry but also the CEO of her skincare brand called Ivana Skin. Ivana has achieved remarkable success as a social media influencer and is the most subscribed Filipino celebrity on YouTube. Google recognized her as the “Top YouTube Content Creator” in the Philippines for two consecutive years.

Recently, she took to social media to share her experiences in Thailand. She explained that she had an endorsement shoot in Thailand and decided to explore the country and enjoy time with her friends. In the vlog, Ivana and her friends indulged in various Thai dishes, including crab omelette, drunken noodles, and crispy rice vermicelli. According to her, the best dish they had was the crab omelette, which she rated 8 out of 10.

Ivana found some of the Thai food a bit salty for her taste, but she acknowledged that food preferences can vary. Despite trying different Thai dishes, she still expressed her love for Filipino dishes like bulalo and sinigang. Their total bill for the food and dining experience amounted to ฿20,950, equivalent to ₱32,155 in Philippine pesos.

In an adventurous twist, Ivana and her friends explored street food in Bangkok. The most exciting part was when they decided to eat scorpions and grasshoppers. Ivana jokingly informed potential suitors that she would brush her teeth afterward to avoid any lingering scorpion taste.

Ivana shared that the scorpion was bitter and crunchy, something not everyone might enjoy. She went on to taste grasshoppers and noted that these were the moments that made her teary-eyed, signaling that she might not be able to take the unusual delicacies. Still, she humorously remarked, “Sana halikan n’yo pa rin ako”.
