Reunion of Sharon Cuneta and Gabby Concepcion
SHARON CUNETA and GABBY CONCEPCION – The former couple had a reunion during a media conference for their upcoming “Dear Heart 2023” concert at Okada Manila in Paranaque City on September 15. This event marked their first meeting in years and was filled with sentimental moments.
As Sharon walked onto the stage, Gabby greeted her with a beautiful bouquet and a humorous remark about buying it in Quiapo. Sharon graciously accepted the flowers and thanked Gabby.
During their interaction, Gabby expressed his desire for a hug before leaving. He introduced Sharon to the audience and playfully emphasized that she is now Sharon Concepcion. After a quick photo op and a playful suggestion for a kiss on the lips, Gabby bid farewell, expressing his care and concern.
The “Dear Heart” concert is named after the 1981 blockbuster movie in which Sharon and Gabby starred. The two started dating during the film’s production, eventually marrying in 1984 and having a daughter, KC Concepcion. However, their marriage ended in separation in 1987 and was officially annulled in 1993.
Sharon fondly recalled the happy times she shared with Gabby, expressing gratitude for him being her daughter’s father and appreciating the love and affection they once shared. She also mentioned watching “Dear Heart” on YouTube, reminiscing about their innocent beginnings and acknowledging the person Gabby was during those times.
Despite their past, Sharon described Gabby as “malambing” (affectionate) when they were together, emphasizing the sweetness and sincerity they both shared. Sharon expressed excitement about their upcoming reunion concert, describing it as a brand new experience where they will collaborate once again.
Fans of Sharon and Gabby can look forward to witnessing this iconic pair reunite for “Dear Heart 2023” at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on October 27. Additionally, there will be a special VIP Night at Okada Manila’s Grand Ballroom on October 30, and an event in Cebu City on November 17.
Sharon acknowledged that time had passed, and they had both moved on with their lives. While considering the possibility of taking the concert abroad, she also recognized that the Gabby she once knew might be different now.
