Actor Dennis Trillo joined TikTok this year
DENNIS TRILLO – The “Love Before Sunrise” actor recently revealed that it took years of convincing before he finally joined TikTok.
The actor is one of the Kapuso stars who have been making waves on TiKTok. However, he revealed in an interview with talk show host Boy Abunda that it took him years of convincing before he finally hopped on the platform.
TikTok is a short-form video hosting service that is owned by ByteDance.
Dennis appeared in the latest episode of “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” where he shared what happened before he finally joined TikTok.
In an interview with the King of Talk, the actor said that management would tell him that he needs to join TikTok even before the pandemic. He shared that it’s because that’s what people are looking at nowadays.
“Ang totoo po n’yan, ilang taon na rin akong kinu-kumbinsi na mag-TikTok,” he said. “Siguro mga pandemic days pa po, before pandemic pa dahil sinasabi nila, ng management na, ‘Oh, kailangan mo ‘yan dahil ito na ‘yung profile na tinitingnan ngayon’.”

According to the actor, he initially felt shy and so he took inspiration from other content creators and also studied how he can best enjoy the platform. He revealed that he decided to make his videos funny since he doesn’t dance and doesn’t do cute stuff.
The actor also shared that when he was about to do a TikTok video, he would ask the person to leave if someone was in the same room as him.
In the same interview, Dennis shared why he and his wife Jennylyn Mercado decided to rekindle their love after failing on their 1st try.
The “Drama King” is set to star in the upcoming series “Love Before Sunrise” together with Bea Alonzo, Sef Cadayona, Cheska Fausto, Sid Lucero, Nadia Montenegro, Vince Maristela, and Andrea Torres.
