Dennis Trillo: “Alam na namin doon na talaga papunta ‘to”
DENNIS TRILLO – The “Love Before Sunrise” actor recently spoke about marrying his wife Jennylyn Mercado.
The actor is set to star in the upcoming series titled “Love Before Sunrise”. Other cast members include Bea Alonzo, Sid Lucero, Nadia Montenegro, Sef Cadayona, Cheska Fausto, Vince Maristela, and Andrea Torres.
Dennis appeared on Friday’s episode of “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” where shared why he and Jennylyn decided to rekindle their love after failing on their 1st try.
In an interview with talk show host Boy Abunda, the actor said that their thinking was still immature at that time and “yung mag situation namin noon, hindi pa clear yung mag gusto gamin mangyari”.
But early on, he and Jennylyn knew they were headed to marriage. According to him, they already called each other husband and wife before getting married and they already knew where they’re going.
“Noon pa lang, tawagan namin sa isa’t isa, asawa na. Alam na namin doon na talaga papunta ‘to,” Dennis told Boy Abunda in an interview. “Kailangan lang ng perfect timing para mangyari ang lahat ng ‘yon.”
The celebrity couple first got together in 2011 on their 2nd TV show in GMA Network and their relationship only lasted a year and they broke up. Dennis shared that he and Jennylyn reached out to each other after a few years and they both didn’t have partners at that time, adding that they missed each other as well.
The actor also likened their love story to the plot of “Love Before Sunrise”, saying, “Ito ‘yung second chances na sinasabi ko na nangyayari talaga ‘yun sa totoong buhay.”
It can be recalled that the celebrity couple got back together in 2015. Dennis and Jennylyn got married in 2021 — shortly after they announced that they were engaged and expecting their 1st child together.
