KC Concepcion: “I unfollowed, but I will never unlove”
KC CONCEPCION – The “Asian Persuasion” star said that she unfollowed her half sister Frankie Pangilinan and stepdad Kiko Pangilinan on Instagram, but she “will never unlove” them.
In “For Today’s Talk” portion of “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” aired on Wednesday, talk show host Boy Abunda publicly read the message that was personally sent to him by the actress.
KC, in her message to Boy Abunda, said that she has learned her place in people’s lives and “out of respect, I will not overplay my part”.
She also said that said that she’s forever grateful to have experienced the love of a father through the experience of having a stepfather since she was 12 years old. According to her, her stepdad’s journey is not perfect but she knows he’s trying his best.
The actress added that she believes she has been a good daughter who genuinely loves her family. However, she said that she’s currently prioritizing her own happiness.
“I realize po na life is short, sayang po kung aksayahin natin ang time with negativity. I just want the family to be happy, and also myself to be happy,” the actress said.
She went on to confirm that she unfollowed them on social media platform, but she clarified that she will not unfollow the lessons she has learned growing up into the woman she is today. In the latter part of her message to the King of Talk, the actress reassured that one day, they will overcome whatever personal challenges they’re going through at the moment.
KC aired her side of the story after news circulated online that she unfollowed her half sister and her stepdad on Instagram. It can be recalled that the actress said in an interview with Cristy Fermin that she unfollowed them because their blended family is “complicated”.
