Netizens Call the Attention of MTRCB, Lala Sotto Over “Mahaba ‘to” Remark of E.A.T Contestant

‘Mahaba ‘to’ remark by an E.A.T. contestant prompted netizens to call the attention of MTRCB and Lala Sotto

“MAHABA ‘TO” – Some netizens have called the attention of the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) and its chairperson, Lala Sotto, concerning the remark made by a contestant on E.A.T.

The noontime show hosted by Tito, Vic, and Joey, popularly known as TVJ, has been gaining attention online due to a remark made by a contestant, which some claim has a “double meaning.” This incident occurred during an interview conducted by E.A.T hosts Allan K and Miles Ocampo with the Vortas 5 contestant.

During the interview, it was revealed that the contestant was a former elementary teacher. Miles commented, “Magaling sa bata ‘to,” and Allan K added, “Mapagpasensya. Mahaba ang pasensya.” In response, the contestant said, “Opo, mahaba ‘to.”

For reasons unknown, Allan then tapped the contestant. Miles insisted, “Mahaba ang pasensya, siyempre bata ‘yon.”

This prompted some netizens to call the attention of the MTRCB and its chairperson, Lala Sotto, the daughter of Tito Sotto and Helen Gamboa, who currently serves as the chairperson of the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board. According to netizens, the remark made by the contestant should not be ignored by the agency due to its “double meaning.”

To recall, the MTRCB previously suspended the Kapamilya noontime program, It’s Showtime, for 12 airing days due to multiple complaints lodged with the agency. One of the most recent complaints was related to a scene involving Vice Ganda and Ion Perez in the “Isip Bata” segment.

Apparently, some fans of the show accused Lala Sotto of bias. Several social media users also brought up the “kissing scene” involving Tito Sotto and his wife and Wally Bayola’s use of profanity on E.A.T.
