Jobert Sucaldito disappointed at Pura Luka Vega
PURA LUKA VEGA – Veteran showbiz columnist Jobert Sucaldito and actress Snooky Serna were disappointed with the controversial drag artist.
During an episode of Snooky’s vlog, Jobert shared his thoughts on the drag artist, whose real name is Amadeus Fernando Pagente, and who faced heavy criticism after performing ‘Ama Namin’ while dressed as the Black Nazarene.
Jobert Sucaldito, who identified himself as a devout Catholic, conveyed his disappointment with Pura, even going so far as to express a desire to physically vent his frustration. “I hope it doesn’t happen again,” Jobert said. “Because, you know, I’m a very devout Catholic kasi ako… Gusto kitang sabunutan actually.”
He further elaborated, “Gusto kong sabunutan kasi nga that is like using the Lord or God in vain… I hope na maisip mo ito, kahit na ang intensyon mo ay hindi paglaruan. Pero maraming ibang bagay na pwedeng gawin, wag ito.”
Snooky also shared her perspective, mentioning that her blood pressure spiked while watching Pura’s performance. “I hope that in your lifetime, [you] feel the love and forgiveness of God in your life… Because you’re missing out on a lot if you don’t, because God is in your life; you just don’t realize it or acknowledge it,” Snooky remarked.
As of press time, drag artist Pura Luka Vega had yet to respond to Jobert Sucaldito and Snooky’s comments.
Meanwhile, several cities and provinces across the country have declared Pura Luka Vega persona non grata. These include Manila, Marikina City, Marinduque, Batangas City, Bohol, Talisay, Mandaue City, and Cebu City in Cebu, as well as Lucena City in Quezon Province, Occidental Mindoro, Dinagat Islands, Laguna, Nueva Ecija, Cagayan de Oro City, Bukidnon, General Santos City in South Cotabato, Floridablanca in Pampanga, Toboso in Negros Occidental, and Oriental Mindoro.
