Actor David Licauco renewed his contract with Sparkle GMA Artist Center
DAVID LICAUCO – The “Maging Sino Ka Man” actor recently renewed his contract with Sparkle GMA Artist Center.
During the “Signed For Stardom” event on Friday, September 22, 2023, the actor made sure to express his gratitude to those who have been with him throughout his showbiz journey.
David thanked his managers, including Sparkle Vice President Joy Marcelo. According to the “Pambansang Ginoo”, Marcelo is one of the first managers who trusted him.
The actor also expressed his gratitude to executives GMA Network Senior Vice President for Programming, Talent Management, Worldwide, and Support Group Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes, Sparkle Senior Talent Manager Tracy Garcia, and Sparkle Consulting Head for Talent Imaging and Marketing Lawrence Tan, as well as his handlers and the rest of the team.
He went on to take the opportunity to thank his on-screen partner Barbie Forteza with a special shoutout before leaving the stage. Barbie also renewed her contract with Sparkle GMA Artist Center as well.
“Gusto ko lang magpasalamat kay Barbie for, you know, being a good partner sa industriyang ‘to, [sa] showbiz,” the actor said. “Kasi syempre, na-i-inspire ako sa kanya. ‘Yung sipag niya sa acting is very contagious eh. So thank you so much.”
Aside from this, the “Maria Clara at Ibarra” actor also talked about his journey and breakout stardom, which he described as “overwhelming”. He even shared that he never expected to be in this position.
With this, he said he makes sure to work hard in everything that he does because “bihira lang ang ganitong opportunity”.
To recall, actress Barbie Forteza said during the media conference of “Maging Sino Ka Man” last August 31, 2023 that she’s “so proud” of David for his dedication and effort in pulling off his character in the series.
