BARBIE FORTEZA – The actress said that she’s “so proud” of actor David Licauco for his dedication and effort in pulling off his character in “Maging Sino Ka Man”.
The actress said during the media conference of “Maging Sino Ka Man” on Thursday that the actor insisted on attending stunt workshops, personal acting workshops, and training in preparation for his role as Carding in the upcoming series.
“Knowing a guy like him na sobrang busy, [he] will really make time para mas mag-improve ‘yung craft niya and ‘yung mas mapull-off nang maayos ‘yung character niya sa project na ito,” she said. “So [I’m] just so proud of him for doing that.”

BARBIE FORTEZA – The actress revealed that it was actor David Licauco who initiated their viral “Twitter serye”.
The actress revealed this during the media conference of “Maging Sino Ka Man” on Thursday, August 31, 2023. According to her, she would like to share the credit of BarDa’s success with the actor.
Barbie and David starred in historical portal fantasy series “Maria Clara at Ibarra”. They’re set to star in “Maging Sino Ka Man” – a remake of the iconic ’90s movie of the same name starring Robin Padilla and Sharon Cuneta.
According to the actress, it was David who started the Twitter series on “Maria Clara and Ibarra” and she was just “naki-ride lang”. She also said that their fans liked it and Twitter engagements also increased as well.
“Kasi siya po naman talaga ang umpisang nagsimula ng Twitter serye sa ‘Maria Clara at Ibarra,’” Barbie said. “Siya naman po talaga ang nag-initiate nung Twitter serye na ‘yun, naki-ride lang ako. Tapos nagustuhan ng mga fans, kaya tumaas ang engagements namin sa Twitter.”
Barbie also shared that David poured his hard work and dedication to make their partnership work. She added that she and the actor both gained a friend in each other throughout the process of them working together.
It can be recalled that GMA Network posted a photo from Barbie Forteza and David Licauco’s upcoming series. As seen in the photo, the actress had her head resting on David’s shoulders as he had wrapped her in his arms.
According to a report on “24 Oras” on Thursday, Barbie and David shared the back story behind their kilig sleeping photo during the media conference for the upcoming series “Maging Sino Ka Man”.
“Tulog talaga kami nun. Kasi pagod na eh, hindi na namin kaya,” the actor quipped.
“To be honest hindi pa take ‘yun pero bina-block na kami,” the actress said. “Mas natawa lang ako kasi ‘yun unang take ang dapat mas yayakap ako tapos nung pumitik ‘yung AD (assistant director) namin siya (David) ‘yung mas yumakap sa amin.”
The special limited series will premiere on September 11, 2023. Other cast members of the series include Juancho Triviño, Tonton Gutierrez, and Jean Garcia, among other.
It was last May 2023 when Barbie Forteza and Jak Roberto celebrated their 6th anniversary.
