The performance of Albie Casiño at Mutya ng Cotabato 2023 has gone viral
ALBIE CASIÑO – The actor trended after his performance at the grand coronation of Mutya ng Cotabato 2023, which took place on Friday, August 25, 2023.
In videos that emerged on social media, he can be seen singing “Habang Buhay” by Zack Tabudlo in front of the candidates. However, some netizens suggested that the actor appeared a bit tipsy backstage before taking the stage.
A TikTok user commented, “Bakit parang lasing ang beshy ko?” Some also questioned whether Albie intentionally chose to perform in that manner. In the video, Albie seemed somewhat “drunk,” although he’s naturally quite lively in real life. He even went down to the audience area, as if he were in a real concert.
The Mutya ng Cotabato 2023 event was hosted by Miss Supranational 2023 1st runner-up Pauline Amelinckx and Italian-Canadian model-actor Nico Locco.
Among the judges were Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee, Miss International 2018 1st runner-up Ma. Ahtisa Manalo, Miss International Queen 2023 semifinalist Lars Pacheco, Mr. Supranational Philippines 2023 Johannes Rissler, Global Asian Model 2019 3rd runner-up Vince Marcelo, international shoe designer Jojo Bragais, and Miss Universe 2011 3rd runner-up Shamcey Supsup-Lee.

Albie is the latest addition to the list of actors who have trended due to their performances in beauty pageants. Last June, Luis Hontiveros faced heavy criticism for singing “Jopay” at the grand coronation of Miss Pagadian 2023. On the other hand, Kapuso actor David Licauco trended for his song number at the grand coronation of Miss Grand Philippines on July 13, 2023.
As of press time, Albie Casiño has yet to issue a statement regarding the criticisms he has received due to his performance at Mutya ng Cotabato 2023.
