Pastor Dimver Andales speaks up after being dragged in the case of Adriane Rovic Fornillos
DIMVER ANDALES – The pastor of Lapasan Baptist Church has responded to rumors linking him to the death of Adriane Rovic Fornillos, a contestant in Mr. Cagayan de Oro 2023.
During interviews with multiple local media outlets, Andales strongly refuted claims that he was financially supporting the victim’s girlfriend, Jone Orog, as a ‘sugar daddy’. He additionally instructed his legal team to identify the individuals responsible for spreading these rumors and expressed his intention to take legal action against them.
Andales believed that these rumors were driven by political motives and aimed at tarnishing his reputation on social media. He clarified that he was content with his wife and had no motive to engage in a relationship with Orog.
In May of this year, the male pageant contestant from Cagayan de Oro lost his life after being shot in the head. Ornillos, a vibrant 24-year-old, had just finished his workout and was heading to a friend’s place for a rehearsal for the upcoming Mr. CDO 2023 competition. Unfortunately, fate dealt him a harsh blow.
As Adrian parked his motorcycle and was about to get off, an unknown person came up to him and demanded that he take off his helmet. Out of nowhere, the attacker suddenly fired a fatal shot, hitting Adrian in the head. Swiftly, the assailant escaped by getting onto a tricab.
According to a post on Bombo Radyo CDO’s Facebook page, the police initially identified a well-known and influential individual in Cagayan de Oro City as the one who planned the crime. The murder case has been referred to the prosecutor’s office against the three suspects, including the mastermind. The case will be built up before it goes to court.
