Ayn Bernos Apologizes After Being Criticized by Fans of Kathryn Bernardo

Here’s the apology of Ayn Bernos to fans of Kathryn Bernardo

AYN BERNOS – The content creator released an apology letter in relation to an article that came out in a digital publication about Kathryn Bernardo.

Ayn, a former Miss Universe Philippines 2021 contestant, is the editor-in-chief of Nylon Manila. Recently, the publication posted an article about Kapamilya A-lister Kathryn and her latest movie project.

Titled “We’re here for Kathryn Bernardo’s Experimental Era,” the article discussed Kathryn’s out-of-the-box role in the upcoming movie A Very Good Girl, where she stars alongside Dolly de Leon.

However, many of Kathryn’s supporters criticized the article, including Ayn, who allegedly allowed the article to be published. They called the description of Kath’s portrayal “backhanded compliments.”

For some supporters, certain parts of the article were seen as a criticism of their idol. Ayn was also heavily criticized for allowing the article to be published. Others claimed that although she’s known as an advocate for women’s empowerment, but she allowed a woman like Kathryn to be portrayed negatively in the article.

Even though the article was edited, criticism of the publication and Ayn continues. This prompted her to post an apology letter on X (formerly Twitter).

She began with: “Recently, we published an article titled ‘We’re here for Kathryn Bernardo’s Experimental Era’ with every intention of commending her new role on A Very Good Girl. I understand, however, that I have overlooked the tone and word choice in some parts of the piece.

“I take full responsibility for this. Personally and professionally, I believe in lifting women up and creating safe spaces for us to thrive, and I am sorry for this oversight,” she added. Ayn concluded the letter by saying that she has learned from this experience and will continue to excel in her work.
