Barbie Forteza: “It’s giving main character vibe!”
BARBIE FORTEZA – Here’s what the actress and content creator said when she was asked about her date at the GMA Gala Ball.
Sparkle GMA Artist Center confirmed the news last month that the 2nd GMA Gala will be happening on July 22, 2023.
The first edition of GMA Gala that happened in 2022 served as a fundraising event for the benefit of the GMA Kapuso Foundation.
On Twitter, the “Maria Clara at Ibarra” actress was asked who she’s gonna walk the red carpet with come Saturday’s event: Is it her boyfriend Jak Roberto or her “BarDa” love team David Licauco?
However, even the Kapuso actress herself hasn’t even thought about it yet. Barbie said that she’s doing everything to recover because she still has work to do before the GMA Gala Ball.
Although she clarified in her post that it’s not COVID-19 that’s plaguing her, the Kapuso actress said that her body has simply reached its threshold “sa dami ng blessings” this month.

Meanwhile, the second edition of GMA Gala Ball this year is becoming quite the highly-anticipated showbiz affair as many Sparkle artists are doing cute “promposal” styles.
Last July 12, Klea Pineda shared on TikTok the adorable stunt she pulled in asking her girlfriend to be her date in the GMA Gala Ball. Last July 19, Juancho Triviño posted a video where he asked his wife Joyce Pring to be his date in the cutest way.
In a report on GMA News’ “24 Oras”, actor David Licauco said that he has no date for the GMA Gala Ball. The actor also said that he’s more than ready for the event, adding that he got his suit all the way from Hong Kong.
Actress Kris Bernal, for her part, said in a post on Instagram Stories that she won’t be able to attend the GMA Gala this year. According to her, she would like to reunite with her Kapuso friends at the GMA Gala but her baby needs her more.
