David Licauco: “Jak Roberto and I are friends”
DAVID LICAUCO – The “Pambansang Ginoo” star said that he and “Pambansang Abs” Jak Roberto are friends.
The actor appeared on the latest “#ByBea Lie Detector” episode on YouTube where he took the legit lie detector challenge and answered questions asked by actress-vlogger Bea Alonzo.
During the interview, he looked back on the first words he said to his on-screen partner, actress Barbie Forteza.
David was also asked whether Barbie’s real-life boyfriend feels jealous of their love team.
The actor said that he and Jak are friends and both of them are actors, adding that he thinks Jak knows about the ins and outs of the showbiz industry and also thinks Barbie doesn’t lack from giving assurance to her partner.
“[Jak Roberto and I] are friends. Artista rin kasi siya, so I think he knows about the ins and outs of this industry,” he said. “And I think na si Barbie, hindi rin siya nagkukulang to give him assurance. Knowing Barbie, she is a good person. She is a good partner also.”

In the same interview, the actor admitted that he’s getting pressured when their fans say, “Sana kayo na lang ni Barbie”. However, he revealed that the thought crosses his mind as a “what if?”
David then told Bea that he still respects his relationship with Barbie as on-screen partners.
Barbie Forteza and David Licauco are set to work on two projects as a love team – including the primetime remake of “Maging Sino Ka Man” and the upcoming movie “That Kind of Love”.
It was last May when the two flew to South Korea to shoot their upcoming movie.
