Ricci Rivero: “Wala pong kinalaman dito si Councilor Leren”
RICCI RIVERO – The athlete-actor said that beauty queen-turned-politician Leren Mae Bautista was not the cause of his breakup with actress Andrea Brillantes.
Leren Mae Bautista is a municipal councilor of Los Baños, Laguna and also a former beauty queen.
The athlete-actor recently appeared on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda” where he shuts down speculations that the former beauty queen was the cause of his breakup with the actress.
Ricci said in an interview with Boy Abunda that he doesn’t have any romantic involvement with the beauty queen-turned-politician.
“Tito Boy, wala pong kinalaman dito si Councilor Leren,” Ricci told Boy Abunda.
The athlete-actor shared that the outreach program was part of his birthday celebration at that time. According to the basketball star, he’s doing an outreach program every year since he was in college.
At that time, the public wasn’t aware that Ricci Rivero and Andrea Brillantes have already separated, leading to cheating accusations from supporters. He also said that he’s not courting the former beauty queen and he doesn’t have any kind of relationship with her as well.
In the same interview, Ricci was asked for his reaction to claims that he only treated Andrea as a “trophy girlfriend”.

The athlete-actor denied that he used the “Drag You & Me” star to become popular, telling the King of Talk that he turned down all offers to appear in shows and sit-down interviews with her.
Aside from this, the basketball star also denied the rumors that he has a gay boyfriend. He said that he’s straight, adding that he has high respect for the LGBTQIA+ community.
“Madami po talagang ni-lolook up in a way na ‘yung personality nila, the way they carry themselves, na alam ko po na mataas ‘yung respeto namin sa isa’t isa, sa kanilang lahat, na hindi naman po aabot sa romantic relationship,” he said.
