Ping Lacson Reacts to the Departure of TVJ from TAPE Inc

Here’s the reaction of Ping Lacson on the departure of TVJ from TAPE Inc

PING LACSON – The former senator expressed his support for his “partner”, former Senate President Tito Sotto, following the latter’s departure from Television and Production Exponents (TAPE) Inc.

Sotto went to the microblogging site, Twitter wherein he shared the message sent to him by Lacson, indicating that the aftermath of the Eat Bulaga issue was a loss for the production company.

The message of Ping Lacson also hinted at the possibility of the original Dabarkads (referring to the hosts of Eat Bulaga) moving to a different network. Sotto quoted Lacson’s message, expressing his gratitude and wishing good luck to Eat Bulaga in its new home. He emphasized that the Dabarkads were not lost by him but rather lost by the company.

It can be recalled that it was on May 31, 2023, Sotto, along with his brother Vic Sotto and Joey de Leon, announced their resignation from TAPE Inc., the production company behind Eat Bulaga, which was owned by controversial politician Romeo Jalosjos Sr. Sotto, stating that they arrived to work that day but were not allowed by the new management to go live on air.

In response to the resignation of the legendary trio, TAPE Inc. issued a statement, taking a swipe at them while asserting that Eat Bulaga would continue without them. In a statement, they assured the audience to expect new entertainers who would bring joy and warmth to their hearts. They also emphasized that Eat Bulaga would remain a source of happiness and entertainment and that the departure of the hosts was not a reason for the world to stop turning.
