MARSHALL AND MILLIONS – A Filipina leaf artist named Mary Mae Aguilo Dacanay paid tribute to two dogs from London who were fatally shot by the police.

It was on Sunday when police officers in East London fatally shot two dogs named Marshall and Millions following reports of them attacking a woman. Prior to the shooting, the dogs were reported to have exhibited aggressive behavior and had bitten another dog on its abdomen.

This incident sparked a strong emotional response from animal rights activists, who organized a candlelight vigil to commemorate the dogs. Louie Turnbull, a homeless man and the owner of the dogs, attended the vigil and expressed his deep distress over the tragic event.

The controversy surrounding the incident intensified when Turnbull, who was present at the vigil outside New Scotland Yard, accused the Metropolitan Police officers of “murdering” Marshall and Millions. The man, who had also been subjected to a taser by the officers, emphasized the profound bond he had formed with the dogs.

A lot of artists all over the world have showcased their masterpieces as a tribute to Marshall and Millions. Among those is MM Dacanay, 25, a leaf artist from Biñan City, Laguna.

In an interview with Balita, Dacanay, who started to become a leaf artist way back in 2020, said she came up with a Marshall and Millions leaf art on Wednesday, May 17, for approximately five (5) hours after knowing what happened to the fur babies.

As of press time, her post has generated thousands of reactions. Here are some of the comments:
