Marshall and Millions – Artwork Tribute by Pinoy Using AI Goes Viral

Marshall and Millions

MARSHALL AND MILLIONS – A netizen named Jerson Chavez, 32, from Iloilo City, created an artwork using artificial intelligence (AI) featuring the images of the two dogs from London who were fatally shot by the police.

On Sunday, two dogs named Millions and Marshall were shot and killed by armed officers in East London following reports of them attacking a woman. Prior to the shooting, the dogs were allegedly behaving aggressively and had bitten another dog on its belly.

This incident sparked an emotional reaction from animal rights activists, who organized a candlelight vigil to remember the dogs. Louie Turnbull, the owner of the dogs, attended the vigil and expressed his distress about what had happened.

The controversy surrounding the incident grew when a homeless man, who was present at the vigil outside New Scotland Yard, accused the Metropolitan Police officers of “murdering” Millions and Marshall. The man, who had also been tasered by the officers, emphasized the strong bond he had with the dogs.

Meanwhile, a certain Jerson Velarde Chavez took to social media wherein he shared his tribute to two dogs. In an interview with Balita, Chavez shared that he made the artwork using digital art tools called Midjourney as a tribute to the two canine dogs.

“I’ve been an animal lover for as long as I can remember, and nothing breaks me more than to see defenseless pets such as Marshall and Millions die because of us,” Chavez said.

He thought of portraying Marshall and Millions as angels in the artwork, believing that they are now in a happier and safer place despite the pain they experienced in this world. “I wanted to convey to people that in the end, they are in a more secure and joyful place,” Chavez expressed.

Currently, his Facebook post has received over 32,000 reactions, 448 comments, and 35,000 shares.
