TV Patrol releases solo interview with Bea Alonzo
BEA ALONZO – ABS-CBN News redeemed themselves by featuring the former Kapamilya actress in a showbiz report on TV Patrol on Wednesday night, April 19, 2023, about her participation in Contra Mundum, the all-star concert of Ang Larawan.
The TV Patrol report on April 19 showed a solo interview with Bea who was excited about her first musical stage play appearance. “So it’s been my dream to try theater pero never akong nabigyan ng chance. So, nung nag-land ito sa lap ko, parang I couldn’t say no. Although hanggang ngayon, sobrang intimidated ako sa kanilang lahat,” Bea said.
The actress will play Elsa Montes in Contra Mundum, which will be presented for free at the Metropolitan Theater on May 6. ABS-CBN News is believed to have made up for their mistake by not mentioning Bea’s name in their report on Contra Mundum on April 18, as complained by the actress’ supporters.
In the said report, all the other cast members were mentioned one by one including Celeste Legaspi, Agot Isidro, Karylle, Aicelle Santos, Bituin Escalante, Rachel Alejandro, Hajji Alejandro, Nonie Buencamino, Mitch Valdes, Ricky Davao, Kakai Bautista, Markki Stroem, Cathy Teodoro, and Jericho Rosales except for Bea.
Those not named were only mentioned as “at iba pa.” Reportedly, a segment producer did not consult the higher-ups and decided not to include Bea’s name in the April 18 episode of TV Patrol.
Fans of Bea and those who watched the report suspected that her name was intentionally left out and only included her as “at iba pa” despite being one of the biggest names in the cast.
