A motovlogger involved in a fatal collision in Davao de Oro killing a man who’s supposed to get married is facing charges

MOTOVLOGGER – A motorcycle rider at the same time vlogger from Davao de Oro is facing legal charges after colliding with a motorcycle, resulting in the death of the victim on Sunday, April 16.

According to an interview with Police Corporal Windrex Bolivar of Montevista Municipal Police Station (MPS) by DXDC RMN Davao, the incident occurred at around 10:00 AM in Purok 1, Barangay Linoan, Montevista, Davao de Oro. The victim was identified as Ronel Renz Alvarez, 27, a resident of the said barangay. The motovlogger was identified as Aldwin Gono, 27, from Barangay Tuburan, Mawab, Davao de Oro.

Witnesses to the incident claimed that the motovlogger was driving at a high speed, which caused the strong collision. Based on the investigation, Gono was reportedly driving at over 100 kilometers per hour. The victim suffered severe head trauma, resulting in his death at the hospital, while the motovlogger also sustained severe injuries and was taken to the hospital.

The friends and relatives of the victim are currently grieving, especially as he was supposed to get married to his partner, who also accumulated injuries after the accident and was brought to the hospital. Gono is set to face charges of “Reckless Imprudence Resulting to Homicide.”
