Kris Aquino Threatens to Take Legal Action Over Fake Ad for “Miracle Food”

Kris Aquino: “NEVER ako na diagnose as having cancer”

KRIS AQUINO – The Queen of All Media is considering taking legal action against false claims that she endorses a mixed nuts product that purportedly cures various illnesses, including cancer, obesity, and diabetes.

Kris, who is currently in the United States seeking treatment for her autoimmune conditions, strongly denounced the false advertisements in her response to lawyer Enrique V. Dela Cruz Jr. of Divina Law Office on Instagram. She clarified that she has never been diagnosed with cancer and is actually allergic to some nuts.

According to the published letter from Kris’s legal counsel as seen on Inquirer.net, the false ads were shared on unofficial and unverified pages of media personalities, Drs. Willie and Liza Ong. Despite this, Kris’s legal team has demanded that the doctors remove the ads from their Facebook page and other social media platforms, and they have also warned against using Kris’s name and image in any future posts.

The letter further emphasized Kris’s reputation as an actress, endorser, and producer who has been active in the Philippine show business industry for over three decades, with her name and image being a protected brand under the law.

Kris, who is 52 years old, has been in California since June of the previous year seeking medical treatment for her autoimmune conditions, including chronic spontaneous urticaria, autoimmune thyroiditis, and late stage 3 of Churg Strauss Syndrome, which is inflammation of blood vessels. In February 2022, she announced that she had been cleared of cancer, diabetes, and kidney and liver diseases.
