Netizen shares encounter with family driver father whose child is demanding an iPhone

DEMANDING CHILD – A Grade 12 student demanding an iPhone from his/her father irked the netizens.

A certain David King Del Mundo recently went to Facebook wherein he shared his encounter with a family driver who approached their shop to inquire about the installment plan for purchasing an iPhone thru Home Credit. The father even showed a computation for the unit and it was clear from the father’s face that he could not afford it. The driver was concerned about how he would manage his salary to support his family.

The driver was offered a cheaper unit, but he was hesitant to decide because he was worried that his child would not be satisfied since the latter wanted an iPhone. The netizen was touched by the driver’s predicament, thinking about how hard he was working to be a good father and provide for his family’s needs.

The netizen was also frustrated with the son’s lack of appreciation for his father’s hard work. He thought it was insensitive for a Grade 12 student to demand an expensive iPhone when his parents were struggling to make ends meet.

The netizen believed that it was the parents’ responsibility to feed, educate, and dress their children, but not to support their “luho”. He further argued that children should appreciate their parents’ efforts to provide for them, rather than demanding more than they could afford.

His post went viral on social media, with many netizens sympathizing with the driver’s plight and commending his efforts to provide for his family.

“Warning: Long but worth reading
