Andrea Brillantes: “Kung okay po sa lalaki, bakit ‘di pwede sa babae?”

ANDREA BRILLANTES – The Kapamilya actress said that it’s time to stop shaming girls for making the first move.

To recall, Andrea made headlines because of her “promposal” to her boyfriend, basketball player Ricci Rivero, with the help of South Korean pop group BLACKPINK. She and her boyfriend were among thousands of “Filo Blinks” (Filipino fans of BLACKPINK) who watched the concert last month.

The actress responded to bashers who criticized her for making the first move in inviting Ricci to be her date at the recently concluded Star Magical Prom.

In an interview, the Kapamilya actress said that said it’s about time to change such mindsets about women.

Tulad nang sinabi ko sa comment na it’s high time that we stop shaming girls for making the first move. It’s sad, kasi nakakabasa ako ng comments na malandi na ako kaagad because I was the one who proposed,” she said, “Sana po mabago na natin ‘yung pag-iisip na ganun. Kasi kung okay po sa lalaki, bakit ‘di pwede sa babae?
