Former Actor Carlos Morales is Now a Registered Nurse in the US

Remember actor Carlos Morales? He is now a registered nurse in the US

CARLOS MORALES – The former actor served as an inspiration to many because at the age of 47, he fulfilled his dream of becoming a registered nurse in the US by passing the 2023 National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX).

Carlos, whose real name is Carlin Morales Woodruff Jr., is a Filipino actor and registered nurse. He gained popularity in the Philippines in the 1990s and early 2000s for his roles in various movies and TV series.

He started out in showbiz after appearing in That’s Entertainment. He last appeared on television via defunct series, Wildflower. He balanced his acting career and nursing studies at Olivarez College in Parañaque City because he knew that the showbiz industry is not stable.

It was during the height of the pandemic when he decided to leave the Philippines to pursue his nursing career in the US. His American father, former US serviceman Carl Woodruff Sr., made it easy for him to go to the US.

While waiting for his NCLEX application to be approved, he worked at McDonald’s as a hamburger flipper for six months. He then worked as a care manager for CareAmerica Homecare Services and later transferred to San Francisco Healthcare and Rehabilitation, where he worked as an infection preventionist and admission coordinator, while reviewing for the NCLEX.

According to PEP.ph, the NCLEX is an exam that Nursing graduates must take to become licensed nurses in the USA and Canada. His mother’s death last year delayed his NCLEX schedule, but he persevered and finally passed the exam on March 27, 2023, which was also his mother’s dream for him.
