Rendon Labador: “Coco fans, wala sanang personalan”
RENDON LABADOR – The so-called motivational speaker and businessman blamed the fans of Coco Martin after none bought a ticket for the opening of his new resto.
Fans of actor-director Coco Martin became enraged at Labador after he made derogatory remarks about the lead star of FPJ’s Batang Quiapo. This came after the motivational speaker chastised Martin for allegedly transforming Quiapo as their shooting location, which he claimed had a negative impact on the livelihood of those who stay there.
Martin has already addressed the issue. In an interview, he said: “Kapag hitik ang bunga talagang may babato at babato sa ‘yo. Ako, iniintindi ko na lang na siguro yung mga tao, gusto maghanapbuhay, o kailangan lang na gawin yun. Pero alam ko naman na sana, wala silang masamang intensyon na manggulo o makagulo kasi hindi maganda eh.”
While Labador has yet to apologize to Martin, he went to announce the grand opening of his new business venture, Episode Bar + Kitchen. The said resto will held its grand opening today, March 25. However, he was disappointed after none bought a ticket for the grand opening of his resto that cost P2,000.
He blamed the fans of Coco Martin for the turnout of ticket sales. “No ticket sales today, mamaya na ang grand opening event ng @episodebarandkitchen Kahit isa wala pang bumibili,” he noted. “Coco fans, wala sanang personalan. Pinag lalaban ko lang naman ang vendors,” he added.
In the same post, Rendon Labador revealed that he spent 1.2 million pesos for the grand opening of his resto. For the fine dining, he claimed to be spending 800K while 400K for the high end drinks.
