In a statement, PBBM said his government will not rest until the perpetrators will be brought to justice.

BONGBONG MARCOS – The president of the Republic of the Philippines condemned the assassination of Negros Oriental Governor Roel Degamo.
It was on Saturday morning, March 4, that the governor was attacked by armed men just outside Barangay 9 in Pamplona town. Hours later, he was pronounced dead. His death was confirmed by his wife Pamplona, Negros Oriental Mayor Janice Degamo.
Following his death, a lot of well-known personalities expressed their condemnation on the killing of the Negros Oriental governor. Among those is no less than President Bongbong Marcos.
The president took to social networking site, Facebook to express his condemnation on the assassination of Degamo. Here’s the statement of PBBM:
“I condemn in the strongest possible terms the assassination of a sitting Governor, Gov. Roel Degamo of Negros Oriental.
My government will not rest until we have brought the perpetrators of this dastardly and heinous crime to justice.
The investigation into this murder is developing rapidly. We have received much information and now have a clear direction on how to proceed to bring to justice those behind this killing.
I am warning all those involved in this killing: you can run but you cannot hide. We will find you. If you surrender now it will be your best option.”
in the said post of PBBM, it was accompanied with photos of him and Degamo.
Meanwhile, the authorities were able to track the getaway vehicles used by the suspects in killing the governor. The actual shooting incident was also caught on CCTV.
