Maine Mendoza respectfully opposed statement of contestant about her child
MAINE MENDOZA – The Eat Bulaga host earned praises from the netizens for correcting a contestant who said her 7-year-old child will raise them from poverty.
It is not uncommon for parents from low-income backgrounds to view their young children as a means of breaking the cycle of poverty. While it is understandable for parents to have high hopes and aspirations for their children, placing the burden of financial success on a young child is unfair and unrealistic. It can also lead to feelings of pressure, stress, and anxiety, which can ultimately have a negative impact on the child’s well-being.
Furthermore, this mindset can also perpetuate the belief that success and financial stability are solely based on individual effort, rather than systemic issues such as access to education, healthcare, and other resources. It is important for parents to recognize that while hard work and determination are important, there are also societal and structural factors that play a role in an individual’s success.
Instead of placing the burden of financial success solely on their child, parents can focus on providing a supportive and nurturing environment that fosters their child’s development and growth. This includes access to quality education, healthcare, and other resources that can help their child reach their full potential. By focusing on their child’s well-being and development, parents can help break the cycle of poverty for future generations.
Speaking of which, a contestant of Eat Bulaga segment Bawal Judgemental was corrected by no other than Maine Mendoza after saying her 7-year-old child will raise them from poverty. “Ace, sana mag-aral ka nang mabuti dahil alam kong ikaw ‘yung makakaahon sa amin sa kahirapan. Ikaw ‘yung pursigido para gumanda ‘yung buhay natin. Tsaka bata ka pa, kahit bata ka pa may pangarap ka na talaga,” the contestant said.
Maine Mendoza, who is visibly upset, can’t help but correct the parent. She claims that providing a good life for their family is not the responsibility of their child.
“Tsaka bata ka pa Incess, kayong mag-asawa. May pagkakataon pa para palakihin o pagandahin ang inyong buhay,” the Eat Bulaga host said. On the other hand, Ryan Agoncillo noted: “Tuparin mo ‘yung pangarap mo Incess, ha? Para sa mga anak mo rin ‘yan.”
Maine Mendoza continued: “Tsaka bata pa si Ace. Huwag nating ipasa sa kanya ang responsibilidad. Marami ka pang magagawa, kayo ni mister.” The remarks of Maine Mendoza earned praises from the netizens. Here are the comments:
