ARNIE TEVES – The congressman has been named by one of the suspects as the mastermind in the assassination of Negros Oriental Governor Roel Degamo.

It was on Saturday, March 4, 2023 when the governor of Negros Occidental was attacked at his home in Pamplona, Negros Oriental. Five others were also killed in the said attack. Reportedly, the governor was working with some of his officials then and was giving aid to some constituents when some men wearing pixelated uniforms entered their compound.

Three suspects were arrested in the kiling of Degamo namely Joric Labrador, 50, a former army officer; Joven Aber, 42, a former army ranger and a certain Benjie Rodriguez. The authorities believed that more or less eight (8) other suspects are at large and are still in the island of Negros.

The three (3) suspects who are now under the custody of the Philippine National Police (PNP) were transfered earlier today from Camp Crame to the PNP Custodial Center.

In an ambush interview, one of the suspects revealed that Congressman Arnie Teves is the mastermind in the killing of Degamo. According to the suspects, they are ready to participate in the investigation of the case. The two claimed that they are now at a delicate situation since their safety and their lives were at risk.

When the interviewer asked them if they received a huge offer, one of the suspects answered: “Yung offer sa amin magbi-VIP security lang kami. Tapos ‘yun pala, iba na ‘yung ano namin doon.”

The suspect noted that they don’t have any idea who’s their target and was only told that they are going to assassinate a “sindikato”, “drug lord.” In the last part of the interview, the suspect dropped the name of Congressman Arnie Teves as the mastermind in the assassination of Degamo.
