Here’s the latest update on Parokya ni Edgar guitarist Gab Chee Kee
PAROKYA NI EDGAR – The Filipino rock band took to social media, posting the latest update about their guitarist, Gab Chee Kee.
On Facebook, the OPM band shared that Gab has been released from the ICU or intensive care unit of the hospital where he’s being admitted. He was transferred to “progressive room to continue his recovery from the pneumonia and the complications brought after.”
Parokya said that he can now use a cellphone and read the comments and messages of fans praying for his recovery. However, he might not be discharged from the hospital anytime soon.
In the photo posted by Parokya ni Edgar, Gab can be seen with a guitar while lying on his bed. “Nagpapraktis na mag gitara para makapag-gig ulit siya para sa inyo,” the post noted.
The Filipino rock band also thanked their fans who helped and prayed for the recovery of their guitarist. “Once he has completely recovered from the pneumonia and complications, he can continue with the treatment for his lymphoma,” the band noted.
To recall, it was earlier this year when Parokya ni Edgar revealed that they are raising funds for their bandmate, Gab Chee Kee. The guitarist of the iconic OPM band had been at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) after being diagnosed with lymphoma (cancer affecting the lymphatic system).
Eraserheads was among those who helped in raising funds for Gab. In fact, they auctioned off a guitar for P1.3 million. Parokya ni Edgar, on the other hand, is selling some of their memorabilias for their bandmate.
