Rabiya Mateo Reveals Why She Did Not Marry Ex-BF Neil Salvacion despite the Proposal
RABIYA MATEO – The beauty queen revealed the reason why she did not marry her then boyfriend, Neil Salvacion, despite his marriage proposal.
One of the most beautiful faces in the Philippines is Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo. She is the daughter of an Indian-American man whom she lost touch with and a Filipina mother. She is vocal that she is a daddy’s girl and she holds no grudge towards him despite losing a connection.
In fact, Rabiya is currently looking for her father. During her interview on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, the beauty queen revealed that GMA network is helping her find her dad. She wants to find him soon and take care of him saying that he is getting old.
During her appearance on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, Rabiya Mateo was also asked about her ex-boyfriend, Neil Salvacion. The non-showbiz guy was the boyfriend of the beauty queen when she joined Binibining Pilipinas and when she was crowned Miss Universe Philippins 2020 and took the international stage.
However, in June 2021, Rabiya Mateo confirmed that she and Neil Salvacion have broken up. During her gueston on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda. She also answered the speculations that she left Neil for the crown.
Rabiya denied that she left Neil for the crown. The beauty queen revealed that her ex-boyfriend has proposed her then and she was not ready to settle down. According to her, the engagement was a huge step for her and she was not ready as she has a lot of things that she wants to achieve not just for herself but for her family.
Rabiya explained that she’s the breadwinner of their family and she wants to be able to give her mother a house and fund the education of her sibling. As for Neil, the beauty queen stressed that he was fulfilled in life then and he wanted to settle down. Although they did not break up right away, the end of the relationship eventually came.
During the interview, Rabiya Mateo expressed that she also felt that she cannot give much to her relationship with Neil Salvacion then because of her priorities and the things that she wants to achieve in life.
