Here’s the response of Mama Lulu to netizens commenting on her weight
MAMA LULU – The 65-year-old US-based Pinay mom, who’s also a famous personality online, has responded to unsolicited comments about her weight.
Mama Lulu is an online personality who rose to fame because of her funny exchanges with son Oliver, Donnabelle and Apple Balgos. Their TikTok page is known as “Otakoyakisoba” and they have over 16 million followers as of posting.
They became well-known during the Covid-19-imposed restrictions when Oliver started sharing videos of his mother playing the celebrity guessing game Name That Celebrity. They rapidly gained online followers thanks to their natural connection and Mama Lulu’s unfiltered responses.
They’ve also made good use of their notoriety by addressing and supporting causes like Stop Asian Hate, Black Lives Matter, and pandemic support.
Homemaker Mama Lulu immigrated from Makati City in the Philippines to California 20 years ago along with her husband, who has since passed away.
In their video posted on Sunday, February 12, Oliver or Olly asked his mom Mama Lulu: “Ma, ano masasabi mo sa mga taong nagko-comment na hinay-hinay daw ‘yung pagkain; napakataba mo at baka mamatay ka na?”
But according to her, “Matagal nang isyu ‘yan, 20 years old pa ako, 65 [years-old] na ako ngayon.” Then, she shared after eating “chicharon”, she felt sleepy.
