WHO Concerned about China COVID-19 Cases Now amid Current Wave

CHINA COVID-19 CASES – The World Health Organization (WHO) is alarmed about the wave of the coronavirus cases in China now.

More than two (2) years ago, a mysterious diseas infected a lot of people in Wuhan, a city in China. Lockdowns were implemented to fight the spread of the said disease which was yet to be identified then.

After a few while, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared COVID-19 a pandemic. The disease quickly spread across nations and exempting no one regardless of age, race, and gender. The senior citizens and the immuno-compromised individuals were identified as the most vulnerable to getting the disease.

Borders closed and different restrictions and protocols were implemnted by countries to fight the spread of COVID-19. The disease took millions of lives across the globe and many died away from their families as a patient had to be isolated.

Meanwhile, this year, the world has gotten to a better situation when it comes to fighting the COVID-19 pandemic. The decrease in the coronavirus cases in several countries led nations to loosen the restrictions and protocols. On the part of World Health Organization (WHO) and national and local health experts, they continue to remind people that the pandemic is not over.

However, amid the eased restrictions in several nations, a new wave of China COVID-19 cases alarmed the World Health Organization. Based on a report on GMA News, WHO Chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus is very concerned about it.

The World Health Chief is appealing for a detailed information amid the new wave of COVID-19 cases in China. Based on the report, he wants to know the severity of the disease, hospital admissions, and the requirements in the intensive care units (ICUs).

Beijing previously admitted that the severity of the outbreak seems “impossible” to track because of the lifting of the mandatory mass testing. As of this writing, China has yet to issue a more detailed information about the situation.
