Answer of male pageant contestant in the Q&A elicits reactions
Q&A – The answer of a male candidate in a beauty pageant during the Question and Answer portion has gone viral, eliciting reactions from netizens.
It was just recently when “Lakan at Mutya Ng Barangay Uno” in Cabuyao, Laguna was held. Among the candidates in the male category is Allan Lorenzo Benitez. Benitez was able to clinch the top 5 finalists of the pageant. According to him, it wasn’t his first time to join a pageant but was his frist time to enter the Top 5.
Then, he expressed his gratitude to his family and friends who have been supporting him throughout the pageant. The host told him that she’s going to read the question twice and he could answer either in English or Filipino.
The question is: “Kailan nagiging tama ang mali at kailan nagiging mali ang tama?” Lorenzo answered by saying: “Para sa akin po ang tama at mali ay magkasalungat, yung tama po ay palaging mga babae. ‘Tas ang mali po ay laging mga lalaki.”
His answer drew cheers and applause from the audience. Before returning to the backstage, the host told him: “Ngayon… tama ka na.”
His answer in the Q&A has gone viral, garnering more then 700k views. He also earned mixed reactions from the netizens. Here are the comments of some netizens:
Although he wasn’t able to win the title after the coronation night, he made thousands of people happy. Lorenzo was declared fourth runner up after the pageant. He was also awarded with Mr Facebook Choice Award.
