Hilarious photo of lechon baboy goes viral
LECHON – A male netizen took to social media wherein he posted a photo of lechon baboy suspended in the air.
Lechon is a popular dish that is served on special occasions such as festivals, holidays, and even birthdays. One of the reasons why so many people adore Lechon is its natural juiciness.
Lechon is typically a whole suckling pig that has been grilled over charcoal. However, it has now been replaced by a medium-sized adult pig. In the 1920s, Cebu produced the first lechon in the country, and the first lechoneros came from Talisay City.
Aside from the Philippines, the dish is particularly popular in Cuba, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, and Spain. The lechon has evolved over time, just like any popular dish.
Recently, a certain Adrian C. Castro took to the social networking site, Facebook wherein he posted via FB page, Homepaslupa Buddies 3.0, a photo of lechon. His post was accompanied by the caption: “Yun naghanda ka ng litson pero ayaw m ipakain sa mga bisita.”
In the photo, a man can be seen trying to get a piece of it while it’s being suspended in the air. The guy even used a chair as he reach for the food. The photo of the lechon immediately went viral, garnering mixed reactions from the netizens.
“Extra Challenge sa mga sharonians yan,” a netizen commented. Sharonians refer to people in the said page who like to take out foods during parties. It started because of Sharon Cuneta’s song Bituing Walang Ningning famous for its line: “Balutin mo ako ng hiwaga ng iyong pagmamahal” Another netizen commented: “dapat ata nakapiring din pag kukuha.”
