Father of Liza Soberano reacts to issues surrounding the career of his daughter
LIZA SOBERANO – The father of the actress has released a statement in response to the events and debate surrounding his daughter’s career.
On Sunday, Liza took to YouTube wherein she posted a 14-minute vlog about her past hardships in the entertainment industry and the formation of a new professional path she is currently laying the groundwork for.
The 25-year-old celebrity said she has been an endorser and actress since she was 12 years old and it was only during the pandemic when she had the opportunity to think back on her past as well as her goals for the future.
“I’ve sacrificed myself, I’ve sacrificed my freedom, I’ve sacrificed my happiness to present Liza Soberano to the world, and I think I’ve earned the right to finally be me,” she noted. “To finally be able to do things for myself as Hope Soberano.”
The father of Liza Soberano has released a statement in response to the events and discussion surrounding his daughter’s career. Liza’s father made comments in an sideline interview with columnist and TV host MJ Marfori. Since Liza’s father’s speech is a little muddled, MJ wrote a caption to go with the video so that viewers would know what the actress’s father was talking about.
This is Liza’s dad’s retort to those who have been disparaging the actress as being ungrateful, according to MJ. “#LizaSoberano’s dad #JohnCastilloSoberano has a short message to the people calling her daughter ungrateful,” she wrote as the caption on her post.
“Since you guys are all hurt i’m very sorry,” Liza’s dad said. Nonetheless, he asserted that most people simply do not understand his daughter. “For what you guys didnt understand,” her father added.
As previously mentioned, Liza chose not to extend her contract with ABS-CBN and instead signed one with James Reid’s music label, Careless Music. The actress is trying to take her chance with the American film industry while she is now in the US.
