“Wowowin” is a Philippine television variety show created and hosted by Willie Revillame. The show premiered on May 10, 2015, on GMA Network and later moved to All TV. Known for its entertainment, the program features games, performances, and audience participation, awarding various prizes.
Initially produced by Willie Revillame’s WBR Entertainment Productions as a blocktimer on GMA Network, the show underwent several directorial changes and collaborations with GMA Entertainment Group. The program’s signature theme songs, “Wowowin” and “Sige Sige Lang,” were composed by Lito Camo.
Throughout its run, “Wowowin” encountered shifts in production locations and changes in its cast, with co-hosts like Donita Nose and Super Tekla who were significant to the show’s dynamic. It also faced production halts, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020, affecting the live audience’s participation.
Despite challenges, “Wowowin” expanded to a primetime edition in February 2020. However, after Willie Revillame’s contract with GMA Network expired in February 2022, the show moved to All TV. The show ended its broadcast on April 5, 2023, after facing low ratings on All TV.
