The first part of the Fish Sweet and Sour recipe is the list of ingredients that must be prepared in cooking the delicious viand. Here are the ingredients needed in cooking a dish that can be good for up to three (3) people:

  • 2 pieces fish, cleaned
  • 5 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 8 tablespoons tomato ketchup
  • 1 piece green bell pepper, julienne
  • 1 piece red bell pepper, julienne
  • 7 tablespoons white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Knorr Liquid Seasoning
  • 1 piece carrot, julienne
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 thumbs ginger, julienne
  • 5 1/2 tablespoons white vinegar
  • 1 ¼ cup cooking oil
  • 2 cups water
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste

The other part of the Fish Sweet and Sour recipe is the cooking process. It may take around half an hour to prepare. Here are the steps on how to cook this delicious and healthy fish viand:

Place the fish in a plate and apply Knorr Liquid Seasoning all over the fish. Let it stand for 10 minutes to let the fish absorb the seasoning.

In a cooking pan, heat around one cup of cooking oil. Fry the fish until its color turns golden brown. Flip the fish to fry the other side. Remove it from the pan and put it in a clean plate and set aside for a while.

In another cooking pot, heat three (3) tablespoons of cooking oil. Saute the garlic and onion for around 10 seconds. Add the ginger and saute it for 12 seconds.

Add water and white vinegar and let it boil. Add the tomato ketchup and stir it until it is completely dissolved in the mixture. Add sugar and stir until it completely dissolves.

Add the carrots and bell peppers and continue cooking for three (3) minutes.

In a bowl, mix cornstarch and three (3) tablespoons of water. Pour in the mixture to the cooking pot and stir until the sauce thickens. Season the sauce with salt and ground black pepper.

Add fish to the sauce and continue cooking for three (3) minutes. Transfer your delicious Fish Sweet and Sour into a serving plate and serve it with steamed rice. Enjoy your meal!
