SINGING BEGGAR – A young boy begging for money to buy food is making rounds online after showcasing his singing talent inside a mall.
Singing has since become an important part of Filipino pop culture. Karaoke is a must-have at any reunion, outing, birthday party, or holiday celebration. It doesn’t matter if the singer isn’t as good as Celine Dion or Whitney Houston, to name a few, as long as the singer can enjoy the vibes and indulge in the music.
Apparently, not all Filipinos are gifted singers. But why are some so good? It’s most likely due to culture, as most families have their own karaoke machine at home. In this way, they may improve their voice and possibly become good singers.
Speaking of, a young boy has caught the attention of netizens for singing his heart out. According to the uploader of the video named Connie Agol, she saw him sitting at the food court of the mall.
The boy approached him, asking for money to buy food. But before giving him what he’s asking, she told him to sing first. Agol said she was amazed by the voice of the young boy.
The video which she uploaded on Facebook was reposted on the Facebook page of RPN DXKO Cagayan de Oro and has earned more than 5 million views. Watch the video below:
His singing voice has earned mixed reactions as well. One netizen expressed his interest to help the young boy. Another netizen said that the little boy will become famous singer someday. A commenter even said that he could be the next “Jovit Baldivino.”
